We started Little White Lies five years ago because we had an idea for a new kind of film magazine. We felt that we had a unique perspective and an original voice and we were passionate about questioning received wisdom and giving film fans a new angle on cinema.
We might not have thought about it this way at the time, but Little White Lies was all about seeing film differently - being original, distinct and unique rather than following in the footsteps of something that's gone before.
So when Volkswagen approached us to talk about developing a community based around the idea of See Film Differently we immediately understood where they were coming from. They shared the drive to do something new and creative, and to offer people the kind of perspective that they won't find anywhere else.
That's always been the thing that inspires us with Little White Lies, so it was an easy decision to agree to work together.
